NEWTOWN DRAMA GROUP, WICKLOW present THEY REFUSE TO BE RESURRECTED a Drama by N.K.SMITH

The play centres around an author struggling for creative inspiration as he attempts to write a new play.  He decides to “resurrect” three ancient drama characters, but looks to apply a more contemporary approach to their oft told story, seeking inspiration from the writing styles of some well known writers of more modern times. But will these proud, though weary, drama characters co-operate with their new would-be master?

Wickham Amateur Dramatic Society arrive for a technical rehearsal before the local Drama Festival, but the absence of set, director and stage crew leaves Val having to improvise…….

Delgany Dramatic Society, established in 1998, draws from a wider North Wicklow/ South Dublin catchment area. DDS produces One-Act plays in March/April & November each year at The Old Schoolhouse, Delgany.

With his subtle, sardonic humour, Schnitzier brilliantly contrasts the languid sophisticated society and its rapidly-jousting minds – minds ever keen to triumph in wit, word and will!
