BRAY ONE-ACT DRAMA FESTIVAL

RULES for ENTRY

  1. The Festival Committee shall invite Groups to submit plays for consideration
  2. One Act Plays only (no extracts) are acceptable, and must not run for more than 55 minutes. Groups who exceed time allowed will be ineligible for Group Awards but no individuals awards will be affected.
  3. The Festival Committee reserves the right to accept or reject ANY entry.
  4. A completed Entry Form, accompanied by the items specified thereon must be forwarded in respect of the proposed production to the GROUPS SECRETARY, to arrive no later than the date specified on the invitation. Further details required following acceptance, including a Stage Plan and Cast List for the programme, must be received by the date advised in the Letter of Acceptance to perform.
  5. All plays will be presented in drapes. No formal sets allowed.
  6. Permission to stand in the wings or backstage during any performance will only be granted to the Actors holding the stage at any given time, as well as their Director, Stage Manager, Prompter and assistants as listed in the official programme.
  7. Nobody, including members of any Group participating in the Festival, will be allowed to enter the auditorium after the curtain has gone up on any production.
  8. Each Group will ensure that the dressing rooms and stage area are left in the condition they would wish to find them.
  9. In all matters of adjudication, the Festival Adjudicator’s decision shall be final. In all other matters, whether or not they are provided for in these Rules, the Festival Director’s decision shall be final.
  10. The Festival will accept no responsibility for any loss or damage sustained by the Groups or Individuals taking part in the Festival.
  11. Entry is considered to constitute full acceptance of these Rules.
